Things To Do

The Graycliff Cigar Company began production in January 1997, with a single roller in foyer of the restaurant has now expanded to an award-winning boutique Cigar Company with 16 master rollers, each an expert in their various format.

The Graycliff Cigar Company produces five brands of cigars: Graycliff, G2, Bahiba, Cabinet Selection by Graycliff and the newly introduced B-Cuz by Graycliff.

Visitors to The Graycliff Cigar Company in Nassau, Bahamas, in addition to witnessing first-hand the torcedores at work, may also take a Cigar Rolling Lesson with our expert craftsmen.

Set foot on our pier and let all the mainland stress melt away. Stroll on winding paths through the lighthouse, relax on two pristine beaches, unwind in the shade with a tropical cocktail, enjoy a traditional Bahamian lunch, or experience a guided snorkeling tour along our vibrant coral reef.

Looking to discover what lies beneath the surface? Put on a snorkeling mask with a pair of fins and head to our protected coral reefs. The crystal clear waters of the Bahamas are the perfect venue to explore these natural wonders. Our staff will guide you through the reefs as you get up close and personal with the colorful marine life lurking just below the ocean's gentle waves.

If you're seeking a more relaxing escape, add a touch of luxury by renting one with a private Ocean View Cabana. You can claim your own little piece of paradise, by settling into a shady cabana with amazing views of the lighthouse and, of course, the impeccable service Pearl Island is known for.
Round out your day by cruising on a kayak or standup paddle board, and let the current sway as you explore the island's shores before taking a dip in the warm Bahamian water and catching a boat back to Nassau.

Paradise Island

The Versailles Gardens on Paradise Island comprise a spectacularly lush multiterraced landscape set in a rectangular design which is about 75 feet wide. The gardens extend approximately a quarter of a mile from the Ocean Club to the southern edge of the island, overlooking the waters of Nassau Harbor. Throughout the length of Versailles a stone path covered in Bermuda grass connects the terraces and demarcates Versailles into two mirrored halves. Handlaid rock ridges extend to the east and to the west of this path. These ridges are composed of reddishtan flint rock and grey sandstone, which over time has acquired a rusty grey facade. These ridges provide the basis on which richly colored purple Bougainvillea stand, evenly trimmed in a boxcut hedge design.

Located in the heart of Nassau, this unique attraction is home to the well-trained, world-famous marching flamingos. Its mini zoo has more than two hundred mammals, birds, and reptiles that are nestled in over four acres of plush, tropical landscape.

Royal Blue Golf Club at Baha Mar features an 18- hole, 72 Par Jack Nicklaus designed Signature Golf Course suitable for recreational or championship play with a unique "two courses in one" design.

The Nicklaus Signature Golf Course is one of 290 courses in the world hand-designed by Jack Nicklaus himself, and the only Jack Nicklaus course in the Bahamas. Royal Blue is uniquely designed as two courses in one; the front nine holes feature dramatic views of undulating fairways, rolling white sand dunes, brackish ponds and glimpses of a turquoise Atlantic Ocean. The back nine showcases a very different look; players navigate stunning limestone "moonscapes" through dense jungle and steep downhill terrain to get to the island green on the 16th hole, which precariously borders Lake Cunningham, making for unique island golf. The course spans 7,189 yards, and the beauty, difficulty and challenges make the course enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

The Queens Staircase, commonly referred to as The 66 Steps, was hewn out of solid limestone rock by slaves between 1793 and 1794. It provided a direct route from Fort Fincastle to Nassau. These steps were later renamed in honor of Queen Victoria, who reigned in Britain for 64 years, from 1837 to 1901.

Because the pathway that leads to the steps has been paved, the bottom step is buried under the asphalt, so there are now only 65 steps visible.
